• Avatar - Your chosen kit/avatar for visual representation
• Country - Your home country
• Date of Birth - To calculate your age (minimum 10 years old)
• Sex - Optional demographic information

Match Entry Data

When you submit a match entry, we collect:

• Match details - Season, country, competition, teams, and match date
• Watch location - The country from where you watched the match
• Photo (optional) - To capture your watching experience (max 10MB, JPG/PNG/WEBP/HEIC formats)
• Caption (optional) - Text description (max 100 characters)
• Submission timestamp - When the entry was created

Feedback and Communication

• Feedback messages - When you use our feedback widget
• Email communications - If you contact us directly

Automatic Information

• Usage data - Pages visited, features used, time spent on platform
• Device information - Browser type, operating system, IP address
• Cookies - For authentication and session management

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide the service - Display your match entries, statistics, and profile
• Operate the leaderboard - Calculate rankings and show public statistics
• Enforce rules - Prevent duplicate entries and daily limit violations (max 15 entries/day)
• Improve the platform - Analyze usage patterns and fix bugs
• Communicate with you - Send important updates about your account or the service
• Provide support - Respond to your questions and feedback

3. Information Sharing and Public Visibility

What's Public

The following information is publicly visible to all users:

• Your display name (or "Anonymous User" if not set)
• Your chosen avatar/kit
• Your match entries including photos and captions and match details
• Your total match count and leaderboard rank
• Your top team and competition and watch country statistics
• Your bio and country (if you choose to add them)
• Your age (calculated from date of birth if provided)

What's Private

The following information is kept private:

• Your email address
• Your password (encrypted)
• Your exact date of birth (only age is shown)
• Your feedback submissions

Third-Party Sharing

We do NOT sell your personal information. We only share data with:

• Supabase - Our secure database and authentication provider
• Vercel - Our hosting platform
• Law enforcement - Only if legally required

4. Data Storage and Security

We take security seriously:

• Encryption - All data is transmitted using HTTPS/SSL encryption
• Password security - Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt
• File validation - Uploaded photos are validated for type and size (max 10MB)
• Access controls - Only you can delete your own entries
• Regular backups - Data is backed up regularly by Supabase

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access your data - View all your profile and entry data at any time
• Update your information - Edit your profile, display name, bio, avatar, etc.
• Delete entries - Remove individual match entries from your profile
• Request account deletion - Contact us to permanently delete your account and all associated data
• Opt out of communications - Unsubscribe from non-essential emails
• Control visibility - Choose what optional profile information to share

PelotaWatch is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any sports team, league, or organization whose logos or names appear in the app. The use of these logos is intended solely to help users identify matches and competitions.
